A Radical Position on TypeKey
It’s not a terribly radical position, just a slightly radical one. If I wanted to be terribly radical, I’d remain entirely silent. But I haven’t mastered patience yet; I’ve only taken it out for dinner and a movie.
Here’s my radical position: I’m prepared to wait until TypeKey has been launched before I evaluate it. Once I’ve made an evaluation, I’ll make a decision about using it.
Several weeks, months, or years after that, I’ll be prepared to offer an opinion on whether TypeKey is a useful service or a beautiful failure, but certainly not before it’s even been released, and not before I’ve actually evaluated it. And although it’s a nice turn of phrase, Typekey is not ‘the lock on the door of the Echo Chamber’; at the moment, clearly, it’s just the noise.
