Works In Progress

Over the weekend I finished most of the new design for rubhub.com. The design is pretty different from the current one, but I like it. Just a few more tweaks, both with the design and the spider, and it will be ready to relaunch. Probably about a week.

Now that the new design is mostly out of the way, I can get started with a new project: the Application Sever Bakeoff, which involves replicating the rubhub.com web app in 7 different application server environments. I’m thinking of starting with Ruby, since I was playing with it a little bit over the weekend. But I’m also partial to doing some of the major steps in parallel, so that I can contrast them in terms of productivity.

In other news, Roberto De Almeida is working on creating a subversion-based weblog. It will be interesting to see how this develops.

Also, congrats to Nicole, who just relaunched her site. Looks great!
