PandoraFM
At the end of last year I was lamenting not being able to pipe my music stats from Pandora to Last.fm. I found out via techcrunch recently that there’s a service that does this now, called PandoraFM. This is great to see; some time after my post, I’d layed out a convoluted plan for a Firefox extension / greasemonkey script which would: poll the Pandora window for changes to the document.title, then parse the band and song name from that, do a lookup and screenscrap from freedb.org to get the duration of the song, and then post those three items to last.fm. Once I’d worked out that it was feasible, I added it to my list of ‘things to do in my free time’ where it was never seen again. It’s nice that someone’s doing it properly, and that they’ve got support from Pandora as well.
