Somebody Get Me A Bucket
During the holidays I found a bit of time to start working on a new project to put my fledgling Python skills to use: I’m creating an application for Windows that aggregates RSS feeds from websites so that you can quickly find out which blogs you read regularly have been updated since your last visit. There are plenty of feed aggregators around, but most of the aggregators for Windows are commercial in nature. My application is going to be open source; ideally I’ll have a release available for the end of January. I’ll be adding a specific RSS feed for it as well. The tentative application name is Creosote. I’m probably way too green to pull off a python-in-joke with the name, but I figure it’s better than ‘PyFeed.’
Have I mentioned that I love Python?
