Relationship Lookup Engine based on XFN
Ok, it’s ready: rubhub.com can now be used to search and display the incoming and outgoing XFN relationships for a given site.
Thanks Claire!
I think the next eventual step will be to incorporate FOAF information, where it exists, to provide profile information on site authors.
I’ve also been pondering a rel=’self’ value, which could be a useful addition to the XFN standard for site authors who maintain multiple sites.

Congrats Phil!
You’re the coding champion.
Why are there two ids for my uri (SIDs 322 and 905), with different link info?
I think rel=”self” would be useful. I run three blogs already, and I’ve got several other domains in the wings for some future projects.
I’m looking foward to seeing how things look when you add some FOAF integration.
Thanks for letting me know about that one Dougal, I’ve fixed it up now. I had a few dups showing up early on because the url matching wasn’t as *cough cough* rigorous as it could have been. Things should be better now, although you’ve prompted me into running some more tests on it, which can’t be a bad thing.
Apparently there was a rel=’me’ which didn’t make it into the current version of the protocol.
FOAF should make the entire thing more interesting.
Great, it only returns one result for my URI now.
Suggestion: The meaning for “Links Into” and “Links From” is not intuitively obvious, as it’s not readily apparent whether “link” is being used as a noun or a verb. Might you consider rewording those headers — perhaps as “Incoming Links” and “Outgoing Links”? Or maybe, “Links Into [this URI]:” and “Links From [this URI]:”?
Waiting patiently for FOAF to be added to Rubhub!
Sian,
It will happen.
I’m currently writting an update of the crawling engine. Once that’s done I’ll start adding FOAF into the mix. Should have something going in a week or so. In the meantime, have you seen plink http://beta.plink.org/ ?
