Some Early Stats

The response so far to rubhub has been great.

Stats-wise rubhub has crawled close to 1000 sites, with a 1 in 12 ratio of XFN users to non-XFN users. It will be interesting to see how that ratio changes as XFN takup rises. Another stat: about 80% of the sites that have been added through the ‘add my site’ function aren’t actually using XFN.

I’m pondering an alternate way of presenting the results information. The current results are ‘listish’ and I think it would be cool if they could also be viewed in a more ‘clusterish’ way. I’d like to accomplish this using CSS if possible.

In completely unrelated news, if you haven’t already, check out Flickr. I’ve only used it a little bit so far, but it looks like a great bridge between Instant Messenger clients and social network applications like Orkut.

What about creating a tool which a user can enter their rels and have it spit out an xfn file they can save.
