In fact, in my experiences with horrible hosting providers and costly registars over the years, I have found their service and customer service to be excellent. I am not a programmer but advanced in all other respects with the web - I have heard many complaints lately (from others) but have yet to have a site go down (knocking on wood)... or experience the customer service issues I read above. I'd be interested in comparable (reputable) providers that can offer robust services of a similar price point?? I am hearing of Lunarpages a great deal lately but seems very similar? I have many domains and websites and have not had any significant issues with GoDaddy. I am liking them more and more everyday. Godaddy servers are just to damn slow. Myself, I have never had an issue with them, except for the slowness. GoDaddy is appalling in terms of customer service and I've told them this only to receive a banal reply "we're sorry you feel that way..feel free to call our service number..." which, of course, is implausible calling from Australia. I have since moved to Bluehost. I pay US$7 a month for hosting and with this received a free domain/upgrade. They're very good. But I so agree: ditch GoDaddy. I uploaded the files again, and put in a ticket with GoDaddy. They claimed the files were uploaded by FTP.
